Returnable packaging

Returnable packaging is packaging that comes back and is used again, rather than being disposed of at the far end of the journey. It only makes commercial sense on a closed loop — deliveries to your own sites, to contracted customers, or on routes where your vehicles return empty anyway.

Beecraft supplies three systems, and they differ in how they behave on the return leg:

Lite Box — a pallet base with a sleeve and lid. The sleeve collapses onto the base when empty, so far more empties fit on a returning vehicle. Available from 400×600 up to 1200×1200 mm.

Magic Box — a rigid pallet and lid, injection moulded. It holds its shape full or empty and protects the contents on every leg, at the cost of travelling back at full height. Used in industrial logistics and pharmaceutical supply chains where repeated cleaning matters more than return efficiency.

Maxi Box — large-format and fully bespoke, built around loads that do not fit a standard pallet footprint. Panels are joined through metal parts so the container stays rigid loaded and folds flat empty.

The business case almost always turns on the return journey rather than the outbound one. Tell Beecraft what you ship, how often packaging returns and on whose vehicles, and we will work out which system pays back.
