Who you actually deal with
Beecraft UK has supplied plastic pallets and containers since 1988. Most of what we do is not selling from a list — it is working out which specification is right before anything is ordered, because that is where the money is won or lost.
A pallet bought on its headline load figure can turn out to be rated a fraction of that in beam racking. A box that overhangs its pallet by a few millimetres gets damaged on every movement. A timber pallet in a washdown area cannot be cleaned to a standard an auditor will accept. None of those are obvious from a product page, and all of them are expensive once the stock is already moving.
What we will ask you
Four questions usually settle a specification:
- What does a filled pallet or box actually weigh?
- Does it go into beam racking, or is it block stacked on the floor?
- How often is it cleaned, and to what standard?
- Does it come back to you, or is it part of the consignment?
The answers decide duty class, footprint, material and whether reinforcement is worth paying for. They also decide what you can safely ignore — buying the strongest pallet across the board means paying for a rating you never reach and carrying the extra empty weight on every movement.
