Half a Euro pallet, handled by one person

600×800 is exactly half the 800×1200 Euro footprint — two fit on one Euro pallet, or on the same racking bay, with no wasted space.

The practical reason to use it is reach. A full Euro pallet loaded to head height has a back row an operator cannot get to without walking round or climbing. Half the depth means every item on the pallet is within arm’s reach from the front, which is why this size dominates store replenishment and shop-floor display.

It is also the footprint that matches the standard 600×800 roll cage and dolly, so a load can move between pallet, cage and shelf without being rebuilt.
