ESD Pallets

ESD pallets are moulded with electrically conductive material for handling electrostatically sensitive components.

An ordinary plastic pallet is an insulator. Moving a load across it generates static charge and holds it, and that charge discharges into whatever the load next contacts. For electronic components the damage is frequently invisible — the part passes test and fails later in the field, which makes it expensive to trace back.

Conductive material gives the charge a path to ground instead of letting it accumulate. Because the property comes from the material rather than a surface coating, it does not wear off with use or washing.

Beecraft’s ESD range includes closed-deck Euro pallets for small components that would fall through an open deck, and nestable export builds where empties return in volume.

If your goods arrive in ESD bags and travel in ESD packaging, the pallet underneath should not be undoing the point. Specify ESD for the whole handling chain or none of it.
