Full depth, half width
600 × 1200 mm keeps the full 1200 mm depth of a standard pallet but halves the width. In a rack bay designed for 1200 mm deep pallets, two of these sit side by side in the space of one 1200 × 1200, or alongside a single 600 mm wide load.
The use case is narrow, deep product — long boxes, rolled goods, anything where you need the length but not the width. Putting that on a square footprint wastes half the position.
