High-capacity sump, and why it is specified
Holds four 205 litre drums, with broad chemical compatibility, forklift pockets and a removable grid. The distinguishing feature is the high-capacity sump.
The arithmetic is the reason. Four full 205 litre drums is 820 litres above the bund. Depending on the rule you work to, required containment may be the largest single container (205 litres) or a percentage of total volume — and those give very different numbers. A standard sump can satisfy the first and fail the second.
If your site works to a percentage-of-total rule, a high-capacity sump is not an upgrade, it is the compliant option.
Forklift pockets
Four drums plus liquid is a substantial load. Integrated pockets mean it is moved properly rather than dragged or lifted awkwardly.
Removable grid
Lets the sump be inspected and emptied. A sump that collects rainwater and is never cleaned has lost capacity it was specified to have.
Alternatives
For lower height, the BCBP4L low profile holds the same four drums. Smaller: three drums. Larger: eight drums.
