Eight drums, or two IBCs
A large-capacity spill pallet for up to eight 205 litre drums, or two 1000 litre IBCs. Easy to clean, tough and durable, fully compliant with regulations.
The dual rating is the useful part. Sites rarely store only drums or only IBCs, and a bund that takes either means the chemical store can be reconfigured without buying new containment every time the packaging format changes.
The capacity arithmetic at this size
Eight full 205 litre drums is 1,640 litres above the bund; two full IBCs is 2,000. This is where the difference between containment rules matters most. If your site works to “the largest single container” the requirement is 1,000 litres with IBCs; if it is a percentage of total stored volume, the number is different again.
Work out which rule applies before assuming a large bund is automatically adequate for what you put on it.
Cleaning matters at scale
A bund this size collects rainwater, dust and drips over a large area. If it cannot be cleaned out easily it will not be, and the stated capacity becomes theoretical.
