Single-drum bunding
100% polyethylene, fully compliant with regulations, with broad chemical compatibility. This is the single-drum model — the smallest footprint in Beecraft’s spill pallet range.
Why a single-drum unit exists
Most spill containment is specified for the main store and then ignored at the point of use, which is where the drum actually gets knocked over. A single-drum bund is small enough to put where the drum is being used — next to a machine, at a decanting point, in a workshop bay — rather than back in the chemical store.
Polyethylene and chemical compatibility
Broad chemical compatibility is the reason for polyethylene rather than steel. A steel bund holding an aggressive liquid corrodes from the inside, and the failure is invisible until it leaks. Polyethylene does not have that failure mode.
Sizing the sump
Containment capacity has to be justified against what sits above it. For a single 205 litre drum the calculation is straightforward; once you have several drums on one bund, check the total against the regulation you work to before assuming it is adequate.
