100 litres of containment, sized for small drums
Designed for up to four 25 litre containers, this lightweight spill tray handles the storing and handling of drums and small containers in the workplace. Manufactured from polyethylene.
The capacity figure is the point. Containment capacity has to relate to what is stored above it — typically the volume of the largest single container, or a proportion of the total, depending on the regulation you are working to. A tray with less capacity than the container above it is decoration.
Why polyethylene
Polyethylene resists the oils, solvents and cleaning chemicals that are usually what you are containing in the first place. A steel bund in the same duty corrodes from the inside where you cannot inspect it.
Small containers are where spills actually happen
Bunding is often specified for large tanks and forgotten for the 25 litre drums in the corner, which is where most workplace spills originate — they are moved by hand, decanted, and knocked over.
Larger capacity
For 205 litre drums see Beecraft’s spill pallet range, which covers one to eight drums with matching sump capacities. For converting existing pallets to bunded ones, see the BCPALCON2 pallet converter.
Contact Beecraft with what you are storing and we will confirm the capacity you need.
