H1 style, in recycled material
The H1 is the hygienic pallet pattern widely used in food and dairy: open structure, easy to wash, no cavities to trap water. This is that pattern made from recycled material on the 800 × 1200 mm Euro footprint.
Recycled construction keeps the pallet out of landfill at end of life and fits sustainability reporting, which is increasingly what procurement is asked to evidence. Over 95% of Beecraft’s new plastic product range is made from recycled material.
For virgin-material hygienic pallets see the hygienic food grade range.
The H1 pattern in recycled material
An H1-style Euro pallet made from recycled material on 800 × 1200 mm.
What H1 actually specifies
H1 is a recognised hygienic pallet pattern used across food and dairy: an open structure with no cavities to trap water, designed to be washed and dried properly. Buyers ask for it by name because it is a standard, not a description.
If a specification says H1, a general-purpose pallet that happens to be plastic will not satisfy it.
Recycled material, and the limit
Recycled input keeps the pallet out of landfill at end of life and supports sustainability reporting — over 95% of Beecraft’s new plastic product range is made from recycled material.
The limit is traceability. Recycled feedstock cannot be traced, so this is a pallet for hygiene and washdown rather than for direct food contact. Where traceability is required, virgin-material pallets in the hygienic food grade range are the correct specification.
That distinction gets missed often, and it is the one an auditor will ask about.
