A square lightweight export pallet
A cost-effective lightweight pallet used across pharmaceuticals, chemicals, meat, foods, snacks and electronics. Strong and durable, and able to withstand deep freezing and steam cleaning.
The temperature range is the unusual part
Deep freezing and steam cleaning sit at opposite ends of what plastic tolerates. Material that survives a blast freezer tends to go brittle; material that takes steam tends to soften. A pallet rated for both can move from freezer to wash line and back without being swapped, which is what a cold-chain food operation actually needs.
Lightweight and export
Pallet weight is payload you are not shipping. On weight-rated freight that shows up directly in the bill, and across a container it compounds.
Plastic also sits outside ISPM 15, so there is no heat treatment or fumigation certificate to obtain before an export consignment can move — the step that most often delays a timber-palletised shipment at the border.
Where not to use it
Lightweight pallets are not racking pallets. If loads go into beam racking, specify from the heavy duty range instead. For direct food contact, the hygienic food grade range is the correct family.
