Nestable, and why that matters on the return leg
A nestable pallet stacks inside itself when empty, so a column of empties takes a fraction of the height of a column of rigid pallets. On a return vehicle or in a yard waiting for collection, that is the difference between one trailer and three.
Three runners give two-way entry, on the 800 × 1200 mm Euro footprint. The trade against a rigid pallet is racking performance — nestables are built for handling and transport, not for spanning beams.

Nestable on the Euro footprint
A smart nestable Euro pallet with three runners on 800 × 1200 mm.
The empty-return arithmetic
Nestable pallets stack inside each other rather than on top. A column of empty nestables is a fraction of the height of the same number of rigid pallets, which decides how many come back per vehicle.
Run the numbers on your own circuit before dismissing it: if you return empties weekly on your own transport, the difference between nestable and rigid can be a whole vehicle per run.
What you trade
Rack performance. A nestable underside is tapered and open — that is what allows nesting, and it is also why it does not span a beam like a rigid runner. Nestables are for handling and transport.
If stock goes into beam racking, this is the wrong class regardless of its other merits.
Three runners
Two-way entry, and the standard configuration for European handling.
The reinforced option
The BCNPT1280-HEF1 is the reinforced nestable — more capacity while keeping the empty-return saving.
