What a layer pallet does
This is equipment for lift storage: it goes between layers of stacked product to increase the support surface and stop the lower layer being crushed. It is not there to be forked as a unit load — it is there so the load above it does not damage the load below.
The application is familiar in any operation stacking heavy goods several layers deep: drums, bagged product, cases without their own rigid structure. Without a layer pallet, the bottom layer carries the whole column through whatever contact points it happens to have.
Built for automated lines
Suited to automated lines with roller conveyors, which is the harder requirement. A layer pallet on an automated line has to present a consistent, predictable underside every time; anything that catches or tips stops the line.
