Five runners, and when they matter
Mechanically this is the five-runner build of the BCL-1210-G3. The reason to specify it is not strength in the abstract but how the pallet behaves on equipment.
Five runners spread the load across more contact strips. On roller conveyors that stops a runner dropping between rollers; on chain transfer it gives more bearing surface; and on a rack beam it distributes the load over a wider span. A three-runner pallet can do all of this, but it is closer to its limits.
Monobloc, one piece
Moulded as a single piece with no joints or fixings, which is what makes it a reuse pallet rather than a one-way one. Nothing to work loose, nothing to fail at a weld, and it can be washed and returned to circulation.
Choosing between three and five runners
Forks only, manual handling, general warehouse: three runners, lighter and cheaper. Automated conveyors, chain transfer, or loads that sit in beam racking: five. Buying in volume, the weight difference accumulates, so it is worth deciding on the handling rather than buying the heavier pallet by default.
