Premium reinforced, and when you need it

Reinforcement on a Euro pallet buys you two things: a higher safe load and a longer service life before the deck starts to flex. It costs empty weight, so it is worth paying for on a pallet that will make many trips or sit in racking, and not worth it on a one-way shipment.

Reinforced, and the cost-per-trip test

A premium reinforced Euro pallet on 800 × 1200 mm.

Reinforcement buys a higher safe load and a longer working life before the deck starts to flex. It costs purchase price and some empty weight, so the question is simply whether the pallet makes enough trips to earn it back.

The test is cost per trip, not cost per pallet. A reinforced pallet surviving twice the circuits is cheaper per use even at a higher price. If pallets leave and never return, none of that applies and a lightweight export pallet is the right buy.

Why deflection is the real limit

Plastic pallets rarely break on a single lift. They deflect slowly under sustained load, and a deflected pallet in beam racking puts its load where the rack does not expect it. Reinforcement resists that creep — which is why it changes racking ratings more than it changes the headline load figure.

Euro footprint and export

800 × 1200 mm for European racking. Plastic also sits outside ISPM 15, so no treatment certificate is needed before an export consignment moves.
