How do you book a collection?

We confirm the stock position, put the order together and give you a slot. Neither site runs a walk-in counter, so the phone call is what turns a journey into a collection rather than a wasted afternoon.

Two things are worth settling on that call. First, whether the item is a stock line or made to order — bespoke footprints, colours and specifications are manufactured against the order and will not be sitting on a rack. Second, what you are driving. A 1200×1200 footprint loads very differently from an 800×1200 one, and the answer decides whether a van will do or you need a flatbed.

This is the part that does not translate to a photograph. Deck pattern, foot layout, whether the underside clears a particular pallet truck, how a lip behaves against an existing conveyor, how heavy an empty feels when someone has to move it by hand — these are judged by picking a pallet up, not by reading a specification sheet. For a first order, or an unfamiliar application, an hour at the depot usually saves a return delivery later.

If a specification question comes up, the sales team can raise it with the people who handle the product daily rather than relaying it. Say when you book that you are coming to look rather than to load, so the right samples are out.

Which site holds what you need?

Both depots stock the same product families, so the choice is usually about distance rather than availability. Wembley is the right call for London, the South East and the Thames Valley; Coventry for the Midlands, the North and the South West. Where a specialist line matters — electrostatic-dissipative decks, or export and lightweight stock for the airport corridor — ask on the call, because depth of stock does vary between the sites.

The UK delivery locations page lists every area we cover and names the serving depot for each. If a visit is not practical, everything available for collection can be delivered instead, quoted against your postcode and site access.

Is it worth visiting at all if you only want a price?

Usually not. A price needs five things — load weight, footprint, whether it goes into racking, whether it comes back to you, and the delivery postcode — and all five travel perfectly well by email. Visits earn their keep when the decision is physical: an unfamiliar specification, a pallet that has to work with equipment you already own, or a switch from timber where you want to handle the alternative before committing a volume order. For anything else, the quote form is quicker.
