Five skids, same ratings
Identical load ratings to the BCRD1210 — 2,500 kg dynamic, 4,500 kg static, 1,500 kg racked — on a five-skid base at 19.4 kg.
The choice between three and five skids is a handling question, not a strength one. Five skids sit more predictably on roller conveyors and chain transfer; three are lighter and cheaper where everything moves on forks.
Same ratings, different base
Identical to the BCRD1210 on every load figure — 2,500 kg dynamic, 4,500 kg static, 1,500 kg racked — on five skids instead of three, at 19.4 kg against 18.4 kg.
Why the ratings do not change
People expect five skids to mean a stronger pallet. They do not here, and it is worth being clear about: the load ratings come from the deck construction and the steel reinforcement, not from how many strips touch the floor.
What skids change is behaviour on equipment. Five contact strips sit more predictably on roller conveyors, give more bearing on chain transfer, and spread weight across a rack beam more evenly.
How to decide
Forks and pallet trucks only: three skids, save the kilogram and the cost. Anything automated in the handling chain: five. It is an equipment decision, not a load one.
Steel reinforcement
1,500 kg racked is what the reinforcement buys, against 300 kg for unreinforced hygienic pallets of similar dimensions.
